This evening we discussed the "Worth of Souls" from Doctrine and Covenants section 18:10. We discussed how that God sent His only beloved Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to live and die for us, and how Jesus, too, came voluntarily to atone for our sins and suffer such terrible pain and agony is evidence enough of what they think our soul is worth!

Well, today has not exactly been a prime missionary day! However, we did get some great news. Our investigator, George, has decided to be baptized! That is such good news, it makes us so happy!
Most of the day was spent doing taxes. We think we have them all done now; so hopefully we won't have to worry about that for another year. We also worked on our 5 minutes talks to prepare for Elder Nash's visit next week.
This evening in between pulling our hair out due to taxes, and pulling our hair out due to taxes, we visited President Estep and his wife for our monthly Home Teaching visit. We had a nice visit with them and actually got to meet their daughter in law and their son, whom we had never met. We had a nice visit with them.

This evening we had a nice evening with the Andersen family. He is leaving for a 3 month TDY soon, so we gave him our predeployment briefing. Even though he is not going to the desert or even though he is not going to be gone for a year, this is his and his wife's first extended time apart. So we thought it would be appropriate to given them the briefing and share some of our experiences with them.
Today was Sister Berry's birthday, so we sang a happy birthday song to hear over the telephone.

This morning we attended our first DDM with our new district since things changed with the last transfers. President Holm and the various Stake Presidents are preparing for the tremendous influx of Sister Missionaries, which will begin in this coming transfer in March. We are now in a district with our Grovetown Elders and the Harlem Elders and new Thompson Sisters. Thompson is nearly 20 miles west of us.
This evening we took our young missionaries out to visit several families. We worked with them from about 4 pm until 9 pm. One of the families we visited was the Rockhill family. He is a Marine, we have been visiting them from time-to-time trying to encourage them to activity. This evening he asked us to come and teach his wife, to help improve her knowledge of the gospel; so we will give them a call this weekend and set up time to begin these visits.

Last week at the Post Hospital, we were told that the clinic where Elder Gowans serves would be open. So we drove out this morning ready to serve and found it all closed up. Oh well!
This afternoon we decided to take the young Elders and Sister Westbrook bowling. We had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes for a lane. Once we got to playing we had a good time. Sister Westbrook was the overall champion today.
This evening we had an enjoyable FHE. We had a real good turn out, 10 people came out. We discussed the principle of Faith and then played several rounds of Scattigories.

Today was Stake Conference. Six of our AIT students made the effort to come out and join us. Also, Brother Baum, and a new fellow over in the Warrior Transition Group came too. It was wonderful to have these folks come, I am sure they were well rewarded for their efforts.
This evening we visited Brother Derouen. He brought up questions about Kolob, Plural Marriage, the Book of Abraham and others; his questions are sincere as he continues to try to understand the things that he reads and hears. I believe we answered his questions thoroughly and to his satisfaction.

Today felt like a freezing cold Utah day! This morning the wind was cold and the rain made it all the worse. However, we braved it and went out to meet and find our new soldiers. And find them we did. We were able to meet and greet 3 new soldiers whom we had not as yet met. We look forward to getting to know them better.
This afternoon we attended Stake Priesthood Leadership Meeting. We introduced ourselves to the entire body of Priesthood, told them a little about ourselves and our mission and then asked them to give us a point of contact in their wards with whom we can communicate with and stay up to date on all the military families in their units. This will really be helpful to us! Hopefully we will hear from everyone in the next week or two.
This evening we attended the adult session of stake conference, it was very well attended; everyone's messages were enlightening, bold and filled with the Spirit! President Squires spoke of becoming a Zion people and what we needed to do to achieve it. 1. Keep the Sabbath Day Holy, 2. Pay an honest tithe, 3. Pay a generous fast offering, 4. Attend the temple often.
