What a busy day today! Today was moving day. We performed our normal Red Cross duties this morning and then after finishing, we came straight home, picked up our keys, did a walk through inspection with the assistant manager and then began moving our belongings across the hall into this newly refurbished apartment. It still has a slight taint of cigarette smoke, but not so bad that it disturbs us. We had our young Elders come over and help left the heavy stuff over. Our other senior couple helped in moving all the small stuff over. Elder Meachum set the computer all back up for us. We've got most of everything put away, but still a few things need to be done. After we finished up with the move, we took everyone bowling and bought everyone hot dogs and french fries. Us two senior couples split the cost on the food and everyone else paid for their own bowling. We all had a real good time together.
After the bowling, we dashed home and prepared all the food for FHE and then dashed back up to the post and got there right at 7 pm. Unfortunately, the new family we were expecting did not show up. However, one of our new fellows who we met about a month ago, came out and seemed to have a fun time with us.
The Cheney family comes every week and we all have a fun time together. Here are some photos from bowling.
