This morning we arose early and headed up to post to attend the annual Prayer Breakfast. On the way we dropped off two letters for two of our soldiers to see if they can get permission to go with us to the Temple. After doing so, we headed on up to the Gordon Club for the breakfast. Just as we sat down the fellow who we work for at the Library came and sat with us, his name is David White. A very genuinely nice fellow. Actually we don't work for him any more, he retired as of the first of the month. We don't know who we will be working for now and since the Library is closed for renovations, we won't know for a while yet. The breakfast was delicious. The speakers and prayers were good too. We heard from a retired Chaplain, MajGen; he actually sat down at the piano, played and sang to open his speech. Quite interesting!
Then we went up to Sister Arnett's home to help her finish up the floor installation. She was done with the flooring when we arrived so all we had to do was install the toilet, replace the doors to the laundry room and help her put the furniture back.
This evening we visited Sister Thoman out in the Waynesboro Ward. The first time we went to see her she had forgotten we were coming and wasn't home. So we visited with her daughter Sierra. Then we went back at Christmas time to drop them off a Christmas card and met the husband. We thought he was home from Afghanistan for good, but then we found out he returned for another year of work. He is planning on a 5 year remote tour, only to come home for a month during each year. Can you imagine! Anyway, she was not home again when we arrived, she had forgotten again; however, this time she was on the way home so we finally did get to meet her and the rest of the family.
