This morning, we took care of our normal Red Cross service; after  returning home, Elder Gowans went to help Sister Murray pull out three large groups of stumps from bushes she had already cut down in the front yard. We worked on that area for a couple of hours, then Elder Gowans asked if she had an ax so we could cut through some of the roots. As she was asking one of her neighbors, he said he would come down and help. He also brought his lawn tractor down to assist in pulling up the stumps. He probably saved us  3 hours of work. As it turned out, not only were we able to remove the stumps, but we were also able to get all her new flowers planted. Things worked out perfectly. During this time, Sister Gowans was home nursing a head ache and trying to get some rest after a poor night's rest.

This evening, we had a nice FHE with the Esteps, Brother Miller and Brother and Sister Amidan. Sister Amidan just arrived last week and will stay here with her husband until he finishes AIT and then they will proceed on together to their next unit of assignment.
