This evening, we invited Elder and Sister Meacham and Sister Stott and her girls out to Fort Gordon to enjoy the Christmas Festival held on Barton Field. They have a little musical program and the Garrison Commander says a few words, Mr. and Mrs. Santa comes and then they light the Christmas tree. Along with the program they serve everyone a free slice of pizza, free hot chocolate and cookies, the children have an area where they can decorate their own Christmas stockings and also a tent where they can visit Santa and Mrs. Clause. Then at some point in the evening, they set off a huge bonfire. We all had a very enjoyable evening. We usually run into several member families, this evening was no different.
