This morning, we went up to Post for our normal Saturday morning visits and also to locate two new female soldiers; we got up there and the wind was so cold that we could only stay an hour. We didn't feel comfortable in asking our student soldiers to come out into the cold for a visit; that would not be a very productive visit. We did find where our two new Sisters were located, but due to it being their arrival weekend, they were both out on family passes. One of the young ladies is from American Samoa.
As we were about to depart, we waited for one of the companies to form up for their 9 am formation so we could say hi to Brother Moore. We did catch him and visited for a moment and then off we went.
After arriving back home, Elder Gowans got started on Adam's taxes. He was able to get it all figured out and hopefully it will all be correct. During the afternoon, he went out with our younger missionaries to visit Tony, the fellow whose wife recently passed away; unfortunately we learned that he will sick in bed, so we missed visiting him.
This evening, all the missionaries put on a ward activity; we called it the Member Missionary Training Center (MMTC). We had a light turnout, part of it may have been due to the extremly cold wind that continued to blow throughout the evening. Each set of missionaries gave some instruction on different aspects of member involvment in sharing the gospel with their friends, family and other associates. It turned out to be a very nice evening.
